In Ingushetia, another participant in protests against the border limit with Chechnya was placed in a pre-trial detention center

In Ingushetia, a court placed Zelimkhan Bapkhoev, a participant in protests against the redistribution of borders with Chechnya, in a pre-trial detention center for two months. This is reported by MBH Media with reference to the lawyer Kaloy Akhilgov.

Bakkhoev is suspected of using life-threatening and health-threatening violence against law enforcement officers (part 2 of article 318 of the Criminal Code). Now he is in the Nalchik pre-trial detention center.

According to the publication, Bakhoev became at least the 27th defendant in the "Ingush case" under Article 318 of the Criminal Code.

• In September 2018, the authorities of Ingushetia and Chechnya signed an agreement to change the border between the republics, after which protests began in Ingushetia.
• On March 26, about 10,000 people came out to a rally in Magas. About two thousand protesters remained on the square all night. In the morning they began to be dispersed, as a result of which clashes broke out between the security forces and the protesters .
• The Investigative Committee opened a criminal case on incitement to mass riots (part 3 of article 212 of the Criminal Code) and the use of violence dangerous to life and health against law enforcement officers (part 2 of article 318 of the Criminal Code). Already 27 people have become its defendants.
