RBC: Roscosmos supplier stolen cosmic equipment

On the territory of the Energia missile and space corporation in Korolev, which is the supplier of Roscosmos, unknown people stole electronic boards for space equipment, RBC reports .

The theft, according to the publication, occurred in early May. The criminals took with them three bags of boards and a scientific and energy module necessary to provide electricity to the Russian segment of the International Space Station. The damage from the theft can be tens of millions of rubles.

The Roscosmos confirmed the fact of illegal penetration of Energia to the enterprise, but it was said that "information about certain details of the incident, including what was stolen, mainly does not correspond to reality."

• In November 2018, the head of the Accounts Chamber, Alexei Kudrin, called the Roscosmos a record holder on the scale of the lost funds. He stated that several billion rubles were stolen inside the department.
• In April of this year, the Russian Prosecutor General Yuri Chaika sent a report to the Federation Council, according to which more than one and a half billion allocated for the modernization of the production base and the development of the latest weapons were stolen at the Roscosmos and Rostec enterprises.
