Transbaikalia: the official stole a technique purchased to fight fires

A criminal case has been instituted in the Trans -Baikal Territory against the former director of the regional state specialized autonomous institution "Transbaikal Forestry Association". He is suspected of embezzlement of money intended for the purchase of spare parts for equipment for a fire hazardous period. This was reported by the press service of the regional Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia.

According to investigators, the ex-director transferred 700 thousand rubles to an individual entrepreneur to buy spare parts and prepare equipment for a fire hazardous period. After that, using his official position, he asked the businessman at the expense of this money to give him other spare parts in the amount of 251,830 rubles. The former director appropriated them and ordered them at his own discretion.

Also, according to investigators, he wanted to steal spare parts for another 100 thousand rubles, but was fired and could not bring the crime to the end.
