
At the age of 60, human rights activist and publicist Evgeny Nilov died. This was announced on Facebook by the former director of the Sakharov Center Yuri Samodurov.
“A terrible message has just come from a friend. Today, on June 5, at about 6 pm, a human rights activist, an outstanding political publicist and thinker-historiosof Evgeny Niolov died right at the computer, ”wrote Samodurov.
Evgeny Nilov was born on April 8, 1959. He studied at the Moscow Hydromeliorative Institute, but did not graduate from it. Since October 1990, he was in the movement "Democratic Russia". He was among the defenders of the White House in August 1991, was an active participant in the movement against the war in Chechnya.
They wrote about two hundred publications in various publications. From 1998 to 2016 he headed the information and analytical service of the All-Russian Public Movement "For Human Rights".
