The Krasnogorsk City Court of the Moscow Region arrested Sergei Khodzhayan, accused of murdering ex-GRU fighter Nikita Belyankin (part 1 of article 105 of the Criminal Code), as well as two other participants in the fight. This was reported by the agency "Moscow".
Khojayana denies the accusations: “I did not commit a crime, I am not capable of it. I went to help the person, and in the end everything fell on me, ”he said in court.
Other defendants in the case, who were charged with hooliganism (Article 213 of the Criminal Code), did not admit guilt either. The lawyer of one of them, Narek Stepanyan, the bartender of the Birhouse cafe, said that he was at the workplace during the attack and “did not commit illegal acts.”
Belyankin was killed by a stab in the heart on the evening of June 1. Passing by a fight in the village of Putilkovo (Krasnogorsk district), he decided to stand up for a man who was beaten by a crowd. Belyankin was attacked after he fired a traumatic pistol into the air. He died before the ambulance arrived.
According to Kommersant, while serving under a contract in the GRU unit of the Ministry of Defense, he participated in the battles for Palmyra and Aleppo, for which he was awarded departmental awards and presented to the state.
