Michael Calvey will not be able to come to SPIEF

Michael Calvey is definitely not coming to the St. Petersburg Economic Forum. His lawyer Dmitry Savochkin told The Bell that Calvey expressed his regret to his lawyers that his planned trip to SPIEF, apparently, would not take place due to reasons beyond his control.

• Lawyers said Calvey hoped he would be able to attend the forum, as he had been a regular participant in previous years. In a conversation with lawyers, he expressed words of support to all portfolio companies of the fund and the Baring Vostok team at SPIEF, and also expressed the hope that the work of all forum participants would be productive. He told lawyers that he was grateful to the business community for "incredible solidarity and support."
• Lawyers emphasize that Calvey reminded them with regret that his colleagues Philip Delpal, Vagan Abgaryan, Ivan Zyuzin and Maxim Vladimirov “are being unreasonably detained in a commercial dispute over control of Vostochny Bank: they have been given an inexplicably strict preventive measure and they are about four months did not see their relatives.
