At about 10 a.m. in Vladivostok, employees of Center “E” detained the coordinator of Navalny’s headquarters, Katerina Ostapenko, they write on the politician’s team page on VKontakte.
The woman was taken to the department, kept there for two and a half hours, and then released without a protocol. As reported in the publication, employees called a single picket in support of journalist Ivan Golunov an uncoordinated rally and demanded that Ostapenko write an explanation about this. The coordinator was also asked about other participants in the series of single pickets.
- Meduza investigative correspondent Ivan Golunov was detained on June 6. A criminal case was opened against him for attempting to sell drugs on a large scale (clause “d”, part 4, article 228.1 of the Criminal Code with the use of part 3, article 30 of the Criminal Code). The journalist himself said that bags of drugs were planted on him, and after his arrest they beat him, refused to call an ambulance and did not allow him to call a lawyer.
- On June 8, Golunov was placed under house arrest, although the prosecutor requested his placement in a pre-trial detention center. In court, the journalist suggested that the reason for initiating the case was an investigation into the funeral business: he was detained on the day the first draft was submitted, and previously he had received threats because of this text.
- On June 11, the case was dropped due to lack of proof of his participation in the crime.
