Three buses with law enforcement officers arrived in the city of Likino-Duhovo in the Moscow Region, who began to beat local residents protesting against the construction of the garbage plant. This was reported on his Facebook politician Dmitry Gudkov.
Who exactly beats people - riot police, the Russian Guard or another unit - is not known. According to Gudkov, one of the activists broke the rib. At the same time, one brigade of lumberjacks refused to work when she saw the conflict of customers with local residents. “All this is only to cut a clearing in the forest, along which garbage trucks will go to a huge trash,” the politician writes.
Part of the protesters blocked the A-108 highway so that the equipment could not go to the construction site. “About 10 people from overlapping the roads were detained.“ Disobedience to legal requirements is charged, ”Gudkov said.
A local resident and activist Yekaterina Belova told the OVD-Info that there were four people in the police department in the Kuravsky district, several other detainees were taken to the Voskresensky department.
According to her, at 3:30 in the morning five traffic police cars arrived at the place, the employees set signs about the ban on parking. “Our activists arrived there. The confrontant began. They repelled in a rough form. The woman broke the rib, arrived, confirmed this, and she was taken away. In addition to her, there were still victims, but, of course, not so much,” Belova said. According to her, people held on to the trees so that they were not cut off.
Activist Olga Basatskaya told the Rain TV channel that people began to cut down without identification marks who provided "documents of incomprehensible origin." Basatskaya added that the conflict has been continuing since February.
She explained that next to the place selected under the landfill, there is a deep swamp, from which water enters several reservoirs and wells. In case of pollution, local residents will be left without drinking water. Basatskaya added that after the action, local residents and authorities agreed to hold a round table on this problem. At the site of the spontaneous rally, the temporarily acting head of the city district of Likino-Dulevo, Andrei Buyanov was present.
The press service of the Russian Guard MO said that the personnel of riot police and other units of the State Guard in the Moscow Region were not involved in solving the problem.
Likino-Dulevo activists protest against deforestation, where, according to them, red-black animals still live. According to the New Gazeta , it is planned to build a waste processing complex and a garbage plant on the forest site. However, residents are sure that there will be just a landfill in this place. In addition, it is known that half of the shares of the company, which is engaged in construction, belongs to the son of Russia General Igor Chaika.
The protests began in early March, when the locals accidentally learned about public hearings on the approval of the general plan of the city district of Likino-Dulevo and saw that a site was allocated on the general plan in the forest for a waste processing complex. The authorities then stated that we are talking about building an entertainment park. And a few days later, security and bulldozers came to the forest, in which local residents had already been on duty.
At the same time, the general plan of the city district was not approved - officials of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Rosleskhoz even refused to coordinate it. Nevertheless, on May 23, a meeting of the Council of Deputies was scheduled in the city of Likino-Dulevo, at which the authorities had to approve the general plan or send it for revision. Contrary to the opinion of local residents, the general plan was accepted: officials said that the developer of the general plan supposedly took into account all the comments of local residents.
