The Ministry of Economic Development has proposed extending to self-employed Russians a number of state support measures provided to small and medium-sized businesses. The corresponding document is published on the official portal of regulatory legal acts.
The explanatory note to the document states that among the support measures proposed by the ministry:
credit and guarantee support;
participation in preferential leasing programs;
access to the services of the Business Navigator portal for small and medium enterprises (SMEs);
participation in training programs.
It also clarifies that one of the goals of the national program "Small and Medium Enterprises" is to increase the number of people employed in this area. The Ministry of Economic Development noted that by 2024 it is necessary to ensure a total increase in employment in the field of small and medium-sized businesses by 5.8 million people. Thus, the number of people employed in this area will be 25 million people.
Recall that from January 1, 2019, in Moscow, the Moscow region, the Kaluga region and in Tatarstan, the “tax on professional income” is in experimental mode . He obliged self-employed citizens who do not hire workers under labor contracts to pay tax on the sale of goods and services at a rate of 4%, and if they are sold to legal entities - 6%.
