The chairman of the Council of Teips of the Ingush people, Malsag Uzhakhov, was charged with a new charge under the article on the organization of a non-profit organization that infringes on the personality and rights of citizens (part 2 of article 239 of the Criminal Code). This was reported by the telegram channel "FortangaORG" with reference to the lawyer of the accused Dzhabrail Kuriev.
The investigation believes that the activities of the Council of Teips of the Ingush people are associated with inciting citizens to refuse to perform civic duties or to commit other illegal actions.
In April, Uzhakhov was sent to a pre-trial detention center on charges of organizing the use of violence against government officials (part 3 of article 33, part 2 of article 318 of the Criminal Code). On June 7, the Nalchik City Court decided to keep the activist in custody until September 25. Uzhakhov's lawyer claims that being in a pre-trial detention center negatively affects the health of his client. The activist is not provided with medical assistance and is not given the necessary medicines.
