A court in Moscow fined a participant in the picket on Petrovka in support of Ivan Golunov 200 thousand rubles

The Tverskoy District Court of Moscow fined activist Alexei Klimishin 200 thousand rubles for a picket in support of journalist Ivan Golunov, which took place on June 7. Klimishin told OVD-Info about this.

The activist was found guilty of repeated violation of the rules of the rally (Part 8 of Article 20.2 of the Administrative Code). The case file is published on the court website. According to Klimishin, the court considered a single picket to be a rally of 80 people, which interfered with pedestrians. He was also charged with distributing leaflets.

The young man intends to appeal the court decision.

• Investigative journalist Ivan Golunov was accused of trying to sell drugs. On June 11, the case was dropped .
• On June 7, a series of single pickets took place at 38 Petrovka in support of Golunov. The police detained more than 10 people, but then released them without drawing up reports. Later, the police detained Daria Polyudova, Daniil Shadymov and Alexey Klimishin. Protocols were drawn up against Polyudova and Klimishin under Part 8 of Article 20.2 of the Administrative Code.
