But friends and colleagues need to be protected. Publicly.

So. These two - an unprecedented business - began their program on Russia 1 by mentioning Novaya Gazeta and its special correspondent Pavel Kanygin, who was investigating the death of the Malaysian Boeing - the flight MN17, shot down in the sky above the Donbass.

The occasion - the international investigation reported the names of four suspects, three of which are Russians. The reason is the “New Gazeta” about that and reminded what circumstances of the tragedy have been revealed over the years.

And there was no sympathy - not a word at all.

But they showed a video prepared by Ukrainian journalist Anatoly Sharia - to demonstrate the “quality of investigators”.

When the Donetsk bandits abducted him, and the local cops then expelled to Russia to at least somehow twist the scandal, the story of a journalist-narcomancer was inflated-and then they showed this video.

We published the results of the examinations. This was necessary, because, unlike the masters, rubbing the Ostankino corridors with expensive boots, Kanygin does not work in the studio, but in the war.

Regarding these false accusations, which were already broadcast on the air, at the beginning of 2018 a special decision of the Public College for Press complaints was made. What the VGTRK could not know about, since the decision concerned the same television company - the Vesti program, manufactured on the Russia 24 channel.

The name Kanygin is well known to readers. Now millions know about him.

But the names of Solovyov and Mikheev have been known for a long time - and there is nothing to be proud of.
