In Penza, police detained the coordinator of the “Left Front”

The police detained the coordinator of the "Left Front" in the Volga Federal District Sergei Padalkin, the OVD-Info activist himself said.

According to him, three employees met him at the entrance and put him in the car. Padalkin said he did not know on what grounds he had been detained. He was taken to the police station on Dolgov Street.

Earlier, a protocol was drawn up against the coordinator for a gathering in the village of Pavlo-Kurakino due to a mass clash of residents in the village of Chemodanovka, during which one person died. But the administrative case was closed because the police could not provide evidence.

16:50 Padalkin was charged with disrespect for the authorities (part 3 of article 20.1 of the Code of Administrative Offenses) for publishing on the website of the Left Front with a photo from the rally, in which one of the speakers tears up a brochure similar to the Constitution. After that, the activist was released from the department.
