Employees of Alexei Navalny's headquarters found an office in which signature sheets for candidates for Moscow City Duma deputies are being falsified, reports supporter of the oppositionist Leonid Volkov.
“A dozen young guys sat and passed sheets of paper around in databases to falsify signatures in support of a number of candidates for the Moscow City Duma,” Volkov wrote.
In particular, signature sheets were filled out in the office for the former head of Moscow Yabloko Sergei Mitrokhin , director of the Apothecary Garden Alexei Reteum , candidate from the Communists of Russia party Nikita Ostrankova and actor Andrei Sokolov .
After employees of Navalny’s headquarters caught the participants in the falsification forging signatures, they left the premises, leaving behind the sheets, voter lists and laptops. At this moment, the guards blocked the oppositionists inside. In addition, the police arrived at the office .
Volkov said that the opposition will demand that a case be opened under Article 142 of the Criminal Code (falsification of election documents) against the “draftsmen,” as well as the removal from the elections of all candidates for whom signatures were forged.
