FBK employee Ruslan Shaveddinov was arrested for 9 days for marching in support of Golunov

The Ostankino District Court of Moscow arrested FBK employee Ruslan Shaveddinov for nine days for an uncoordinated march in support of journalist Ivan Golunov, reports Alexey Navalny’s press secretary Kira Yarmysh.

Shaveddinov was found guilty of repeated violation of the rules of the rally (Part 8 of Article 20.2 of the Administrative Code). Yarmysh noted that the protocol incorrectly indicated the place of detention of the FBK employee - it refers to Petrovka, 38, although Shaveddinov did not reach this place.

In court, he denied guilt: “On June 12, he definitely did not shout out any slogans and did not interfere with the passage of citizens, he walked along the sidewalk.”

Lawyer Tatyana Solomina noted that the protocol of a citizen of Tajikistan, who was also detained at the procession and taken to the Ostankinsky police station, contains the same slogans. At the same time, Solomina emphasized, the foreigner knows the Russian language very poorly. “The text of the reports was simply delivered to Ostankino,” she suggested.

Shaveddinov was detained this morning, June 28, as he was leaving his house and taken to court.

During the action, for which a report was drawn up against an FBK employee, about 500 people were detained in total.

The townspeople demanded that those responsible for falsifying Golunov’s criminal case be punished. He was accused of attempted drug trafficking, but was released after a public outcry.

Under Part 8 of Article 20.2 of the Code of Administrative Offences, a protocol was drawn up against Navalny for participation in this action, but the court has not yet examined his administrative case.
