The RFU denied information about the hospitalization of the legend of domestic football Nikita Simonyan

Komsomolskaya Pravda reported that today the legend of Soviet football and the Moscow Spartak, 92-year-old Nikita Simonyan, was delivered to one of the Moscow ambulances. It was clarified that the former player of the USSR national team is in intensive care and nothing is known about his condition.

The Russian Football Union later refuted information on the hospitalization of the first vice president of the organization.

"The first vice -president of the RFU, Nikita Pavlovich Simonyan, was today on a planned examination in one of the Moscow hospitals and has already returned home. There is no talk of his hospitalization," TASS said.

Nikita Simonyan took part in the final draw of the World Cup 2018. Simonyan scored 160 goals for Spartak, which is the best indicator in the history of the capital's club.

As a football player, Simonyan won the USSR championship with Muscovites four times (1952, 1953, 1956, 1958), as a coach - twice (1962, 1969).

For the USSR national team, Simonyan spent 20 matches in which he scored ten goals. He is the champion of the 1956 Olympic Games.
