AvtoVAZ stopped production due to disruption in the supply of components

AvtoVAZ will suspend car production at both sites, in Tolyatti and Izhevsk, from July 3. It is reported by TASS with reference to the company's statement.

“Downtime is associated with another unlawful violation of obligations under the supply agreement and disruption in the supply of necessary components by Zavod Avtokomponent LLC (Nizhny Novgorod),” the company said, without specifying how long the downtime could last.

AvtoVAZ stressed that it "did everything possible to prevent this situation and is taking all necessary measures to resume production as soon as possible."

The incident did not affect the availability of LADA cars in the dealer network of the brand, the company added.
