Moscow authorities banned the “March of the Sisters”

The organizers of the event planned to hold a march in support of the Khachaturian sisters and against gender-based violence on July 6. At first, the authorities refused to approve the action in the city center and offered to hold the event in Lyublino. The organizers, in turn, refused this proposal and indicated an alternative route in the notification.

According to the document published by Popova, the mayor's office did not comment on the second route and stated that after the abandonment of the site in Lyublino, the organizers do not have the right to hold the event at all.
