“According to operational data, on the territory of the Taishet region, there is an increase in the water level in the Uda River in two settlements: Polinchet and Kondratyevo,” the press service of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations for the Irkutsk Region reported.
Seven houses in which 11 people live have already been flooded in Polinchet. In Kondratyevo, six houses were damaged, in which 25 people live.
Residents of the affected territories moved to relatives. There are no dead or injured.
A day ago, the TASS agency was told by the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations that they do not expect flooding of settlements: "The decrease in the level of rivers is predicted, flooding of settlements is not expected."
At the end of June, in Nizhneudinsky, Taishetsky, Tulunsky, Chunsky and Ziminsky districts of the Irkutsk region, they overflowed the banks of the Uda, Biryus, Iya, Chun and Oka. The cities of Nizhneudinsk and Tulun were partially flooded.
In total, 10,133 houses were flooded, in which 32.9 thousand people lived, including almost 8 thousand children. 49 feldsher-obstetric stations, schools and kindergartens were flooded.
According to the latest data, 18 people died during the flood, about 1.5 thousand sought medical help. 221 residents are hospitalized.
