The government decided to subsidize jet fuel at the expense of oil

On the Direct Line on June 20, Vladimir Putin demanded to correct the situation with jet fuel prices. On July 3, the government explained how it would be done.

First Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Anton Siluanov confirmed that the government is proposing to offset the rise in jet fuel prices from oil and gas revenues.

Quote. “We have introduced price regulation for aviation kerosene depending on oil prices and agreed that if the price of aviation kerosene exceeds 48.3 thousand rubles per ton, which corresponds to about $70 per barrel of oil, we will introduce negative reverse excises from budget revenues received through oil and gas resources. That is, when the price exceeds the bar, which will affect the price of air tickets, we will pay extra from oil and gas revenues, ” TASS quotes Siluanov .

They want to introduce compensation from August 1. In May, kerosene at Sheremetyevo cost 46.8 thousand rubles per ton, on average in Russia - 53.8 thousand rubles per ton. In the future, the threshold price in the domestic market is planned to be increased: to 50.7 thousand rubles/t in 2020 and 53.25 thousand rubles/t in 2021.

• So far, the oilmen receive compensation only for the sale of gasoline and diesel fuel. At the beginning of the year, oil workers were reimbursed 60% of the difference between the export and fixed domestic prices - 56,000 rubles per ton of gasoline and 50,000 rubles for diesel fuel.
• Since July, the percentage of compensation has been increased, the fixed price has been reduced, but the oilmen continue to say that they are incurring losses.
• Aviation kerosene was forgotten in the agreement between the government and the oil industry. As a result, in 2018 it has risen in price by 30%, and air tickets - by almost 10%. We wrote about it here .
