The dank day of July 3, a small group of Murmansk deputies, officials and veterans came to the city monument to submariners who died in peacetime. The whole ceremony near the monument - a real cutting of the Kursk submarine, sank by 19 years ago, took no more than ten minutes. The assistants handed the deputies the same bouquets of red carnations tied with black ribbons. The chairman of the regional Duma, Sergei Dubova, said that the death of 14 people on the AS-31 “Lorserik” is a “big tragedy”. Deputy Murmansk Governor Yevgeny Nikora recalled that the families of the victims will be assisted.
The 73-year-old vice-admiral in reserve, the head of the public organization of submariners, Yuri Boyarkin, spoke the longest time. “The guys who died ... These were cool officers. High class. What a few, ”it was clear that the admiral made his simple speech sincerely.
Ten years ago, it was Boyarkin who achieved the installation in Murmansk as a monument to the Kursk cutting monument. There is no name on this monument. Only the number of accidents who died in several dozen of accidents and catastrophes on Soviet and Russian submarines, starting from the accident of the S-117 submarine in the Sea of Japan in 1952 (52 people) and ending with the accident itself, and ending with the Kursk itself (118 people).
On the new catastrophe by noon on July 3, only one thing was also known: the number of dead. Record with this figure on the wheelhouse "Kursk" will also appear, promised Boyarkin.
“Why guess? - persuaded journalists Sergey Dubova. - Now there will be an investigation. Appointed commission; He heads the commander in chief. What conclusions will be - we will all find out. You just have to wait for everyone to say! " In response, the journalists surrounded Boyarkin and showered him with questions: “Do you know the dead? And what is a “horser” - you know? ”
"I know. I know most of the dead. And the “horser” I know. But I will not chat, I don’t always have to chat! ” -shouted the former vice admiral over his shoulder, running away to the car. Only the veteran submariner Vladimir Kasparov remained next to the monument-he was clearly in no hurry. “I served a long time, ten years before Kursk resigned. This was with me: the boat K-56, 1973, 27 people-Kasparov circles a line on the monument with his fingernail. - Then they began to create these deep -sea groups with us. First bathyscaphe. Then they made the Komsomolets atomic boat, which could be immersed for a thousand meters ... And now it turns out, it turns out what “horses” they do ... Six thousand is immersed, only think. ”

Meanwhile, a small wedding went down to the monument. Guests and newlyweds are impatiently waiting for when it will be possible to take a picture with the monument. There are few attractions in Murmansk, Kursk’s cutting is one of the main ones. Having finally waited for her turn, the bride in a short white dress occupies space in front of the cut and calls the rest. “We smile and wave,” the woman commands in a front red dress, preparing to take pictures of the young.
In the city of Severomorsk itself, next to which there was a fire on a boat, it is impossible to get without a pass-this is a closed administrative-territorial education (but). But those who recently visited the city told the Medusa correspondent that the sensations of the disaster in it are even less than in Murmansk - no flowers or rallies.
“And what do you want - no one knew them in the city. Neither here nor in Severomorsk. That's why there is no reaction, ”Medusa says to the Medusa correspondent, another former submariner close to the local authorities and therefore asked not to call his name. The retired submariner adds that the submarine on which the fire occurred belonged to the secret part of the military intelligence, which is located not even in Severomorsk, but in the village of Deer's lip is also closed: it belongs to but Alexandrovsk.
“The tasks of the unit, of course, are mainly military. They work more with underwater cables of the vessel system than with the biodiversity of the seabed, ”the former submariner continues. - Therefore, the composition in boats of this quality : one senior officers. And they worked on a rotational basis, came for two to three months. Mostly even without families. Therefore, everything will be surrounded by a mystery. ”
Officials in the Murmansk region were really more worried about talking about what happened, but about speaking less. Acting Governor Andrei Chibis limited himself to a short record of the “terrible tragedy” on his VKontakte page - after which he canceled participation in all events and stopped communicating with the press. The call to “be vigilant” and beware of “information saboteurs” some townspeople will replace in the North Sea public: you need to “filter information” and “not to swing tragic events”.
In the evening of the same day in the Murmansk temple of the Savior-on-wards, lithium was held for dead sailors. Shortly before Lithuania, the church acted in an unexpected role, first informing the names of the victims. Journalists tried to determine the names and military ranks of “newly -trained Dionysius, Konstantin, Sergius, Victor, Dimitri ...” - however, at seven in the evening the full list of the dead published the Ministry of Defense.

Lithium was appointed at 17:40. Starting from five in the evening, the cells of federal channels tried to catch people in the crowd of people who could be relatives or acquaintances of the dead. Before the service itself, such a person was found: a young woman introduced herself as a classmate of the deceased Mikhail (Lieutenant Captain Mikhail Dubkov, as it turned out an hour later from the Ministry of Defense). She said that with a classmate they grew up together in Kamchatka, he was a hereditary submariner and a worthy person.
The anonymous interlocutor of Medusa also says how the boat crew acted with dignity during the accident: “The energy intensity of such atomic boats - like in a small city. Therefore, a fire can arise very easily, which happened. The fact that people survived is a really great merit of officers. They acted, and did not run, bulging their eyes. "
New public actions in memory of the dead sailors in Murmansk in the coming days are not planned.
