Russia has granted asylum to a large family from Germany. Parents complained about the interference of the German authorities in raising their children

The Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation granted temporary asylum in Russia to the Griesbach family of eight people, who arrived in the country from Germany in 2015, according to the agency's website.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs made such a decision in order to regulate the legal status of German citizens, "and also taking into account their personal life circumstances."

In 2016-2019, the Grisbach family - four adults and four children - repeatedly tried to obtain asylum in Russia, but the Ministry of Internal Affairs in Moscow and the Kaluga region refused them.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs issued a decision the day after, on the night of July 3, members of the Grisbakh family were detained by the Kaluga police.

• In the Kaluga region, there are several large families from Germany who moved to Russia because of the active, in their opinion, the interference of the German authorities in the upbringing of children. Some of them received temporary asylum in Russia.
• In 2016, a large German family, the Martens, moved to Russia from Germany to escape compulsory school sex education lessons. After spending about two months in Siberia, the family left Russia.
