Activist from Tomsk Sergei Tchaikovsky plans to obtain political asylum in the UK. He told MBH Media about this.
According to Tchaikovsky, the Russian FSB Directorate for the Tomsk Region demanded to testify against colleagues from the Open Russia movement. After the refusal, the activist began to receive threats, and the police, at the request of a certain Maxim Chuvashov, began an investigation into cooperation with an undesirable organization (20.33 of the Administrative Code), insulting the authorities (Part 3 of Article 20.1 of the Administrative Code) and propaganda of non-traditional relationships among minors (6.21 of the Administrative Code).
The reason was the activist’s participation in Open Russia before his self-liquidation and two reposts on his VKontakte page - a repost of the video “UIGA Students Satisfaction” and the news from MBKh Media.
“The posts insulting the Russian authorities were published before the adoption of the law prohibiting insulting government officials, and there is no insult at all, only an expression of civic position. Other posts do not have the goal of promoting non-traditional sexual relationships, but are only informational in nature,” the activist told the Tomsk TV2 agency.
