According to Jehovah's Witnesses, in Kaluga, 43-year-old believer Roman Makhnev was handcuffed to a pipe overnight and then not fed for three days. The religious organization reports this on its website.
Makhnev was detained on June 26 during a raid by the regional FSB department. That day, a search was carried out at his home, during which, according to the religious organization, the 15-year-old daughter of the detainee was taken barefoot into the street and forced to stand in the rain until the end of the search.
After this, Makhnev stated that literature that did not belong to him was planted on him. Then the man was taken instead of the temporary detention center to the FSB building, where, according to Jehovah's Witnesses, he was kept in torture conditions until June 28.
