Earlier, the department announced the initiation of a case under paragraph “b” of part 2 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code (intentional infliction of grievous bodily harm against a minor) for the torture of a child.
On July 4, seven-year-old Aisha was taken to a children's hospital in Nazran with multiple injuries. Doctors operated on the child, as the girl was in danger of having her arm amputated.
It later turned out that the child was living with her father's sister without formalized custody documents. The husband of the arrested woman is a police officer. As the Commissioner for Children's Rights in the Republic, Zarema Chakhkieva, told RIA Novosti, the girl's aunt claimed that she inflicted numerous injuries on herself.
“She explained the burns on her body to the police officers by saying that Aisha had recently fallen into a pot of freshly cooked borscht. The aunt put the container on the floor while she was washing the gas stove, and the girl inadvertently fell into the hot borscht,” said Chakhkieva.
On July 5, the girl was sent to Moscow for further treatment at the Leonid Roshal clinic.
