The Insider and Bellingcat: Skripal poisoning coordinator traveled to Switzerland five times and visited WADA headquarters

The alleged coordinator of the poisoning of Sergei and Yulia Skripal, GRU Major General Denis Sergeev, traveled to Switzerland five times, according to an investigation by The Insider and Bellingcat, made in cooperation with the Swiss media holding TAMedia.

According to investigators, citing billing data, from 2016 to 2018, Sergeev visited Zurich, Lausanne, Geneva, the ski resort of Les Gets, as well as the municipalities of Cologny and Collonges-Bellerive. The reasons for Sergeev’s visits are unknown to investigators.

In particular, during the second trip in the fall of 2017, Sergeev visited the Federal Polytechnical School of Lausanne, the headquarters of WADA, as well as a lecture by the former American ambassador to Switzerland, Susan Levin.

The Insider also writes that for the third time in Switzerland, Sergeev met with GRU officers Alexander Petrov and Ruslan Boshirov, whom the British authorities accused of poisoning the Skripals. Under their names, as Bellingcat previously claimed, GRU Colonel Anatoly Chepiga and military doctor Alexander Mishkin are hiding.
