According to investigators, the St. Petersburg resident systematically beats his tenth-grader daughter and ex-wife, who works as a school teacher.

Fontanka emphasizes that the victims filed a police report against the man on January 11, but the case was opened only six months later. After a visit to law enforcement agencies, Tretyakov was released on his own recognizance.

At the same time, as Fontanka writes, the wife divorced the suspect several years ago, but due to “difficult financial conditions” she was forced to live with his daughter in the same apartment.

In addition, according to the publication, in 2018, magistrates sentenced Tretyakov three times under Article 119 of the Criminal Code (threat of murder), and in 2017 he was twice brought to justice under Article 6.1.1 of the Code of Administrative Offenses (beatings).

At the same time, according to the website of St. Petersburg magistrates, local resident Sergei Tretyakov was prosecuted under Article 119 of the Criminal Code in December 2018; another case against his full namesake under the same article has been considered by the same judge since May 2019.

Tretyakov’s ex-wife is also trying to get him to pay alimony, but he refuses to do this because, in his opinion, “his daughter doesn’t deserve it.” Last fall, the magistrate of the 174th judicial district sentenced him to forty hours of compulsory labor under Article 5.35 of the Code of Administrative Offenses (failure by a parent to fulfill the duties of raising a minor).
