In Yekaterinburg, the court arrested two protesters for the resignation of the governor

The Leninsky District Court of Yekaterinburg arrested the protesters for the resignation of the governor of the Sverdlovsk region, Sergei Tiunov and Viktor Baldin, for 5 and 15 days, respectively. This was reported on the MBKh-Media website with reference to human rights activist Nikita Tomilov.

Protocols were drawn up against Tiunov and Baldin under Part 8 of Article 20.2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses (repeated violation of the law on rallies). According to Tomilov, court hearings on July 8 lasted until midnight.

• On July 7, during a rally in Yekaterinburg on the square of 1905, the police detained six people for the resignation of the governor of the Sverdlovsk region Vladimir Kuyvashev.
