A pensioner from Tatarstan is accused of violating the rules of holding a rally

A pensioner from Zelenodolsk, Zaytuna Korotkova, is accused of violating Part 5 of Art. 20.2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses (violation by a participant of a public event of the established procedure for holding a rally). During the May Day action of the Communists of Russia party, she made a speech criticizing the authorities. This is reported by the publication “Idel. Realities".

On May 1, a rally of the Communists of Russia party took place in Kazan, at which Zaituna Korotkova also spoke. In her speech, she mentioned, in particular, that multiple appeals from citizens are ignored. After that, she was summoned to the prosecutor's office for a conversation about her speech and negative statements about the Russian president. According to the official commentary of the first deputy prosecutor of Zelenodolsk, Korotkova was interrogated on the fact of participation in the rally and on the subject of whether her speech was in line with the objectives of the rally, specified in the notification of the organizers.

And on July 11, a Kazan police officer drew up an administrative protocol. The document says: “Being at the address: Kazan, near the monument to M. M. Vakhitov, I violated the established procedure for organizing or holding a meeting, rally, demonstration, procession or picketing.”
