Low-cost airline Wizz Air will fly from St. Petersburg and Moscow to London

From October 1, Wizz Air will launch direct flights from St. Petersburg's Pulkovo and Moscow's Vnukovo airports to London's Luton airport. They will be performed daily, writes "Paper" and "Airport" . One-way tickets start at £25.99 , while Aeroflot's autumn tickets from London to St. Petersburg will cost an average of £154.

• EasyJet was the last low-cost airline linking London with Moscow and St. Petersburg. The company stopped flights to Russia in 2015 due to a drop in demand: this was attributed to the difficult situation in the Russian economy and the tightening of the visa regime.
• In August 2018, the Russian low-cost carrier Pobeda announced its desire to connect St. Petersburg with London, but due to a conflict with the border service at Pulkovo in March 2019, the company canceled all international flights from St. Petersburg.
