In the Vologda region, a man was fined 30 thousand for a comment on VKontakte.

A resident of Veliky Ustyug was fined 30,000 rubles for commenting on Putin on VKontakte. This was reported by MBKh Media with reference to the website of the Velikoustyugsky District Court of the Vologda Region.

According to the court decision, on April 29, Yevgeny Barsukov, in the Veliky Ustyug Inform group, disseminated “information that offends human dignity and public morality, a clear disrespect for society, the state, and bodies exercising state power in the Russian Federation.”

According to the protocol, under a post about an official who will be tried for an illegal permit to cut down the forest, Barsukov wrote: “37 lyam wooden kopecks, a person should be judged Putin’s p… and all his p… owls should be sentenced to death.”

On July 9, Barsukov was found guilty under the article on contempt of authority (part 3 of article 20.1) and fined. According to the protocol, the accused fully admitted his guilt.
