Moscow City Duma candidate Yulia Galyamina was fined for protesting at the Moscow City Election Commission

The Khamovnichesky Court of Moscow awarded a fine to Yulia Galyamina, a candidate for the Moscow City Duma in district No. 9. The candidate herself posted about this on her Facebook page.

wrote Galyamina was charged under Part 2 of Article 20.2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses (organizing or holding a public event without filing a notification), since on her Twitter page she allegedly called on people to participate in an uncoordinated rally on July 14 at the Moscow City Election Commission. The fine amounted to 30 thousand rubles.

The Khamovnichesky Court is also considering an administrative case against Galyamina under Article 19.3 of the Code of Administrative Offenses (disobedience to a legal demand of a police officer). She was charged with the article after she tore up the protocol presented to her under Art. 20.2 Code of Administrative Offences.

Yulia Galyamina was defended by lawyer Mikhail Biryukov.

OVD-InfoYulia Galyamina reports that under Article 19.3 of the Code of Administrative Offences, the court fined her one thousand rubles for obstructing the performance of official duties of an official, since she “destroyed two documents on July 15, 2019 at two o’clock in the morning” (one of them is a protocol under Article 20.2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses ).
