
In Yakutia, three children and four adults who tried to save them drowned in the Lena River. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Emergencies of the region.
In the area of the island of Ponomarev, a company of 11 people rested on the banks of the Lena River. Three children, remaining unattended by adults, began to sink and call for help. Four adults went to save them. Two children managed to take ashore, but they could not be saved. Another four adults and one child remaining in the water also died.
Three more children and a woman remained on the shore - psychological assistance was provided to them. On this fact, the SU of the Investigative Committee of Russia in the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) began a pre -investigation verification.
Last week, nine people died in Tuva while trying to move the river by car. There were seven children among them.
