Arrests in the clinic of Meshalkin increased the number of dismissal and patients prescribed

The number of patients prescribed in the Novosibirsk clinic of Meshalkin grew after the arrests of deputy director Yevgeny Kudshalov and director Alexander Karaskov. At the same time, several administrative employees who are “engaged” were quit.

The meeting of the collective of the Novosibirsk Medical Research Center (NMIC) named after Meshalkin with the acting director Alexander Chernyavsky, Governor Andrei Travnikov and Minister of Health Konstantin Khalzov was held at the clinic on July 16. She discussed the work of the center after the arrests of the ex-head of Alexander Karaskov and his deputy Evgeny Kudshalov, the Taiga.info correspondent reports.

“We had small problems during May - early June. A decrease in our surgical activity began. And we owed more than 700 operations for the next time - 720 or 724. But now we have all leveled and go with a little lead to eliminate this lag, ”said the acting director of the clinic of Meshalkin Alexander Chernyavsky.

In the report, he demonstrated a schedule, which shows how in February 2019 the number of cases of assistance in the hospital is 1.5 thousand, which exceeds the indicators of 2018. However, after that it begins to fall - the number of “cases of treatment” reached in May. Recall that in February the deputy director of the clinic Yevgeny Kudshals was arrested, in May - the head of the NMIC Alexander Karaskov was dismissed. Later, he fell under a criminal case.

The Taiga.info source in the clinic said that none of the team can explain the decrease in the number of operations and the reasons why the consumables were purchased, assuming that this could be due to the “blackmail” of the authorities and law enforcement agencies by the leadership of the clinic.

Chernyavsky added that from May 18 to June 30, almost 2.1 thousand patients were discharged in the clinic after successful operations, and from the beginning of the year to May 17 (Karaskov’s dismissal day) - only 2.6 thousand.

The acting director also showed a schedule of dismissal since the beginning of the year. A larger number of doctors and the average medical staff quit in April - 6 and 11 people, respectively. Then Kyushalov was released under house arrest at the request of the investigation. In June, after the detention of Karaskov, 10 administrative employees resigned.

“These are people who were associated with procurement violations that took place at the institute, and they simply could not continue to work here. Because these people are engaged in a different plan, ”said Chernyavsky.

He assured that the clinic is ready to support all previously declared projects and increase the amount of medical care provided.

And, I will not hide, it was caused, among other things, the unpleasant events that took place around the center over the past six months, ”said the governor of the Novosibirsk region Andrei Travnikov. - It is impossible to hush up it - it really was. The head of the region added that “in the spring we had a certain concern and there was a certain decline” in the indicators of the clinic.

In May 2019, Alexander Karaskov was fired from the post of director of the clinic of Meshalkin, whom he led for 20 years. At the May session of the Legislative Assembly, he resigned the powers of the deputy - he called the formal reason the house undeclared by mistake. The doctor headed the list of United Russia in the elections in 2015.

On Alexander Karaskov and his wife Irina Boytsov, the case was brought up under Part 4 of Art. 160 of the Criminal Code (embezzlement) and part 5 of Art. 33, part 4 of Art. 160 of the Criminal Code (aiding in embezzlement). Karaskov himself against the backdrop of these events had a heart attack and he was brought to the courtroom from the hospital.

In the morning on the day of the election of a preventive measure, the defense of Karaskova published his open letter to President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin. He said the "actual raider seizure of the center, in order to control financial budget flows."

The Central District Court of Novosibirsk arrested the surgeon until August 9.

Previously, a criminal case was opened against the deputy director of the clinic of Meshalkin, Evgeny Kudshalov, an outstanding surgeon who oversaw a scientific direction in the institution. He was accused of fraud and legalization of drugs in the purchase of drugs. The affairs of Kudshalov and Karaskov were united.
