Two National Guard soldiers were detained in St. Petersburg for planting drugs on a student

In St. Petersburg, two private security officers of the National Guard were detained for planting drugs on a 16-year-old teenager and demanding a bribe of 300 thousand rubles. This was reported by Fontanka and a TASS source in law enforcement agencies. This was later confirmed by the Investigative Committee.

As Fontanka writes, citing the case materials, on July 16, National Guard officers stopped a 16-year-old teenager on the street and “created the appearance of seizing narcotic drugs.” Then the security forces demanded 300 thousand rubles from the young man.

First, the schoolboy, who turned out to be “the son of a wealthy Petersburger,” gave 40 thousand rubles to the National Guard employees. Then the security forces took the teenager to an ATM, but did not go with him to withdraw money so as not to get caught on camera.

On the way, the teenager called 112 and said: “Your police planted drugs on me and are demanding money.” As Fontanka writes, having learned this, the head of the department of economic security and anti-corruption “either shouted or prayed loudly: “At any cost! God forbid! In Moscow, generals are being removed for this! We will definitely all be used!”

Meanwhile, the teenager withdrew 100 thousand rubles from the card, and promised to put the remaining 160 thousand in a secret place. After calling the police, police arrived at the location. When 26-year-old Nikita Lavrentyev and 29-year-old Alexander Boykov took the rest of the bribe and tried to leave, they were detained.

A case was opened against them under Part 5 of Article 290 of the Criminal Code (receipt of a large bribe by a group of persons during execution). The National Guard ordered an internal inspection.
