Juventus have signed 19-year-old Ajax star Matthijs de Ligt

The Italian football club Juventus announced on its official website the transfer of defender Matthijs de Ligt from Amsterdam Ajax. He signed a five-year contract with the Turin club.

The 19-year-old player's transfer amount was 75 million euros, the money will be paid over five years. Ajax can receive another 10.5 million in the form of bonuses.

According to media reports, the defender's salary will be 12 million euros per year. He will be able to receive another 3 million in the form of bonuses.

Last season, the Ajax graduate played 55 matches for the club, in which he scored seven goals. He became the champion of the Netherlands with the team, won the National Cup, and also reached the semi-finals of the Champions League.

Since March 2017, de Ligt has played 17 matches for the Dutch national team and scored two goals.
