The Ministry of Internal Affairs refused to initiate a criminal case of smuggling against a woman who received medicine for a child by mail

The police did not find grounds for initiating a criminal case against a woman detained by mail with medicines for her sick child. This was announced by TASS by the head of the press service of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in Moscow, Yuri Titov.

"From the customs authorities in the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in Moscow, a verification material was received on the fact of detention in the post office by employees of the women's customs officers at the time of receipt of her premises containing drugs," said Yuri Titov. "The study of the materials received by the certificate conducted by customs officers did not contain grounds for initiating a criminal case and do not allow the decision to make a decision in accordance with Article 145 Code of Criminal Procedure ".

According to him, the materials will be returned to Moscow customs.

Earlier it was reported that the police in Moscow detained the mother of an inconspicuous patient of the children's hospice, Elena Bogolyubova, for the purchase of a drug of seizures unregistered in the Russian Federation. The woman was held for seven hours in the post office, where she came for a package, and released only after the intervention of the founder of the Hospice Charity Help “Vera” Nyuta Federmeser.

Bogolyubova ordered the medicine via the Internet, and when she came to him by mail, two police officers approached her and "said that the parcel was arrested as smuggling, my mother was detained." Examination showed that psychotropic substances are in the package. Law enforcement officers began to "press" a woman, threatening to institute criminal proceedings. Late in the evening, the police also came home to Misha’s grandmother for a survey.

While Bogolyubov was interrogated, the boy began gastric bleeding, he was sick of blood, but the police refused to release his mother. As a result, after the Nyuta call, Federmeser was released to the government. However, the parcel with the medicine was seized, and in the case of new convulsions, the child will be left without help.

“I already wrote about this problem a letter to the Ministry of Health. I went to a meeting with Skvortsova [Head of the Ministry of Health Veronika Skvortsov]. There were many promises. But nothing has changed. The anticonvulsant drugs in Russia have not become available. The customs service explained that Elena Bogolyubova, who received the drug in the mail, did not have the corresponding prescription. “As soon as copies of the medical documents were brought and presented to us, we really became convinced that there is a child, there is a disease, but there is no prescription from a doctor who would prescribe this drug,” said the customs service representative Ekaterina Anchiporova. “Since he [this drug] was not registered in the Russian Federation, these drugs were taken from her.”
