The Meshchansky District Court of Moscow fined Aleksey Kutenkov a thousand rubles, a participant in an agreed rally in support of independent candidates for the Moscow City Duma, which took place on July 20 on Sakharov Avenue. The man was defended by a lawyer from OVD-Info, Mikhail Biryukov.

Kutenkov was found guilty of disobeying the police (Article 19.3 of the Code of Administrative Offenses). According to protocol, he jumped over the fences and disobeyed the orders of the employees. Biryukov noted that the police did not provide evidence of this version of events. According to him, Kutenkov himself claims that he simply asked the police to let an unfamiliar woman through the fences.

After the arrest, doctors diagnosed Kutenkov with a broken arm. The fact that the man was injured precisely because of the actions of the police is evidenced by the video of the detention.
