A resident of Achinsk Viktor Sibirin in a wheelchair reached the capital of Khakassia Abakan. To overcome 450 km, it took him 8 months of preparation in the gym and 12 days of journey. The traveler specially chose the most difficult route and fundamentally refused the help of passing cars. The correspondent of the publication "Siberia. Realities" met Siberin in Abakan to find out what his reinforced concrete optimism is based on.

"Why? Probably, it is necessary"

We meet with Siberin in the Transfiguration Park of Abakan. The guest from Achinsk arrived about an hour ago and just went to the service in the Preobrazhensky temple located nearby.

- How did I become a disabled person? He slipped, fell on a piece of ice, - says Victor . - The spine broke, yes, right on the street. I immediately stopped walking, there was an explosive vertebral fracture. Imagine: guy, 185 tall, 96 kg of muscle mass. Doctors told me so: if you were drunk or fat, you would not have broken anything. There was no one to sue, there was no sense. They did the operation then, I walked. Then they did it again - he began to walk even better. After the third operation - stopped walking. The year lay horizontally. And in the end, I have 14 operations.

There was everything, like everyone else: a period of drunkenness, the period when the “dumhas” were about suicide, the period when he shouted to his wife, “Look for a normal”

It can be seen that the 36-year-old Sibirin is involved professionally. A few years ago, he got into the national team of the Krasnoyarsk Territory in Kerling: since there is no base for Kerling in Achinsk as such, he periodically rides to train in Krasnoyarsk. Not so long ago with the team I went to the Russian Kerling Championship among stroller in Sochi. He also studied on the mobile instructor in a wheelchair. He goes to tourist campaigns, for example, to the reserve pillars.

- I am very grateful to my wife, because if not for her, that would not have happened to me. Even while I was going here, she calls, asks where to go. I say, there and there. She: "Why did you drive so little?" The motivator is the best. She retained our family, because we, with strollers, have such a moment that we are trying to let our wives. So that they live their full life. I also had this, but she did not succumb. In general, I had everything, like everyone else: a period of drunkenness, the period when the suicide was “thoughts”, the period when he shouted to his wife, “go for a normal one”.

Victor had previously already traveled in a wheelchair to neighboring Bogotol and Krasnoyarsk. I decided to go to Abakan because it is a rather complicated route - in many places you have to go uphill. In addition, I wanted to swim in the Khakass lakes.

- To be honest, every day there were thoughts - and whether it is all. Certainly. Do you know how hard it is in the morning to get up? And you always get up for some reason early. And you think: "Vitya, what for you need it, well, call you, you will be taken." It’s good that the phone has broken, and I would have called so. No, joking - I would not call. And what for I need it? To be honest, I myself cannot answer this question. That's honest. To prove to myself that I can - yes. Show other people that you can do it too. But so if you generally answer, why - the devil knows. Probably so necessary.

However, this trip has another goal.

For some time, Victor has been collecting money for a new stroller through the Internet. For two travels, currently in Abakan and Krasnoyarsk last summer, he was sent about 100 thousand rubles. In total, 300 thousand are needed. When Siberin went to Abakan, people, having learned about raising funds through social networks, first called the traveler, and then sent money to the account. The calls were from Irkutsk, Kaliningrad, from Kamchatka. The athlete says something has already gathered something, but the right amount is still far away.

-They called to make sure that it is really me, and not some scammers. The state gives strollers to disabled people, but such strollers are no longer suitable for my lifestyle. I call them "eighty", because I have enough such a stroller for exactly eight months. Then she falls apart. We need a more modern model: light and durable. Plus, I need an individual model. Because an ordinary stroller is the same as wearing not your size of shoes. I can’t say that the main goal of travel is to raise money for a stroller. This, of course, is not so. The main goal is to drive everything in your hands. And a new stroller is a passing goal, and thanks to everyone who helps.

Victor Sibirin was preparing for a trip to Khakassia for 8 months: he pumped his hands in the gym three to four hours five times a week, read specialized literature. He planned to get to Abakan in eight days, but it turned out in 12 and a half.

- If I knew in advance that everything would be so difficult, I would go anyway. I just would adjust the deadline. In general, I think that in 8-10 days you can get, but along another road, where you are going in a straight line, and not uphill. In fact, it’s hard to prepare yourself psychologically. You will go alone, one on one with you. No one drives. That is, if on a “relaxation” without a mood in a hill, for example, you began to go - you can “go out” at once. Therefore, you need to choose one pace, tune in and work. Critical were the third day, sixth and ninth. It was necessary to get enough sleep there, because if you didn’t get enough sleep, then you won’t go further.

Victor drove from 20 to 45 km per day. I had to pause three times due to the rain: it is almost impossible and very dangerous to travel on a wet highway, because the stroller can “throw” under a passing car. Sibirin spent the night in a tent, which he sometimes put right at bus stops. He ate in roadside cafes, he took sports nutrition with him. Already in Khakassia, the new wheel of a wheelchair are completely erased. I had to call in a large Erba to put one more.

- In general, it is difficult to say whether the stroller is designed for such distances. Because no one tried this. There are people who ride in Russia, but, as a rule, they help them anyway. Someone will bring it anyway. My plan initially implied in order to drive from beginning to end on his hands. When a large Erba and Znamenka (Bogradsky district of Khakassia - approx. S.R.) struck the wheel at the fork, who just did not stop there. Even the acquaintances rode past: "Vityukha, let's get it." But he refused, because otherwise the whole sense of the undertaking would be lost. They offered to help many times, but two or three times it was: what are you going here? Shouting to me from the car: I would sit at home, what are you riding here? I got out in my stroller ... I said: my friend, if you don’t like something, get out of the car, tell me in the eye.

" Wild reality? What is it "

-Your journey can somehow inspire other disabled people, as you think?

There are people with disabilities who are used to the house, care, but there are "frostbitten", like me

-Well, maybe one of them will tear off the ass from the sofa. There are many disabled people who are sitting at home and doing nothing. In fact, there are a lot of like that. Around them, mom, dad, papa, brothers curl. Well, you move, go go to the hall! They just sit and complain about the fate that, we are so poor, unhappy, no one helps. And who will help you if you do nothing? There are people with disabilities who are used to the house, care, but there are "frostbitten", like me. Which are a little, already rushing somewhere. And we, "frostbitten", show the family example, who are sitting and afraid of all, of course, the majority. It must be changed.

- And how is he not to be afraid of the world around him, if he can not even go to the hairdresser?

“Find the hairdresser you can call in,” Victor replies. - I am ready to argue that if I go for the city, I will find at least one like that. Just what to do? Travel. Take and learn to ride. There is a lad in Krasnoyarsk. He had two borders to the clinic. He travels in a stroller with an electric drive, he cannot call on a curb. The point of writing something to write? By the way, he wrote, but in any case, this is a long process. He took a chisel, took a hammer and began to chop. It took him two days to cut down two borders and make a ramp. Wild reality? And what is. I can't say that everything is bad. Everything is fine. I went to our administration, there they allocated a few funds to my trip. How much was it? Five thousand - also money, sorry.

Siberin is used to doing everything himself. On the habit of relying only on yourself and your family in everything and its reinforced concrete optimism is held.

- And the point of whining, cry? At least pay. We must live simply and that's it. Breathe in full chest, the air that is, ”he says.

Siberin operates the operator of an electronic computer in the district hospital of Achinsk. He receives a minimum salary, because according to the law, disabled people cannot work more than a specific norm. Officially, it is also impossible to earn extra money. With their wife, they provide two daughters who are seriously engaged in sports ballroom dancing.

- Now it’s cool in Krasnoyarsk. Everything is there, but they did it to the Universiade. It happens, of course, either a border or some other obstacle, but in general-cool. In Achinsk, it is difficult, but fighting, we are fighting. You take the photos to the administration, they say, the guys in this place need to be made a travel. They - yes, yes, yes, yes ... when they do it, when - no. It is also difficult with shops.

Victor has an apartment on the fifth floor. To go home, he needs about 40 minutes: jumps off the stroller, ties a special pillow and climbs the steps sitting, pushing his hands back. A folded stroller drags behind him. If someone agrees to help with a stroller, the case moves several times faster.

I also asked how much I wrote, it is useless. Either the entrance of the wrong structure, then some kind of trouble

- There are a lot of gaps in the law. We can allocate money for the installation of a ramp only from common -house funds. Here you, the tenant, will be offered: this miracle put a ramp on 5 floors for 350 thousand or roll the roof? What are you choosing? Pandus? Come on, if you run from above, you will always choose a roof. I would choose a roof. You see what a thing. But there is no other money and, most likely, no.

In continuation of the conversation, I tell the story how one familiar stroller asked the HOA to put a ramp in the entrance, and after the refusal, he specially descended from the third floor at full speed: there was a deafening roar at the entrance, but the disabled person answered the claims of the neighbors, they say, all questions in the HOA.

- I also asked how much I wrote, it is useless. Either the entrance of the wrong design, then some kind of troubles-there are a lot of them there. Therefore, they refused. It was said that a licensed ramp is expensive, and unlicensed can not be set. He will kill someone, it will crush allegedly. What can I say-the apartment does not give the Olympic champions, and you want something to give us simple mortals. Oh!

In Abakan, Victor Sibirina met, and then spent, a friend - also a stroller. People in strollers generally help each other with great hunting. The traveler returned to Achinsk already by train. Now he wants to document the route traveled in order to apply for one of the world or Russian records if possible. Earlier, Siberin said that he wanted to get to Lake Baikal, but after traveling to Khakassia, he was in no hurry to talk about plans. It is necessary to relax, besides, at 5 a.m. on July 22, he arrived back to Achinsk, and by 8 in the morning he again went to work in a clinic.
