The free money of a Russian family was equal to 800 packs of Doshirak

The average Russian family now has about 33.1 thousand rubles of free money - this is 11% more than last year, analysts at the research holding Romir said . The reason is the holiday season and additional income in the form of vacation pay. The second, higher peak is always observed before the New Year.

• The best results are in cities with a population of over a million: at the beginning of the summer, their residents had about 42,000 rubles of "free" money, which is 12% more than a month earlier. In the half-million population, the increase was 11.7% - up to 34.5 thousand rubles. And in small towns with a population of about 100 thousand people, only 23.8 thousand rubles were "extra" in families (+ 10.2% compared to May).
• Analysts expressed the amount in terms of the number of packs of instant noodles that can be bought with it. Now the average Russian family can afford 794 packs of Doshirak, last June there were 727 packs. In the previous three years, the purchasing power of "free money" in "Doshirak" was less - about five hundred.
• Free money is the balance after buying the necessary food, goods and services. They can be spent on recreation, entertainment, or set aside for a major purchase.
• According to Rosstat, in the first quarter of 2019, the real disposable income of the population fell by 2.3%.
