Two activists of the environmental movement “Stop GOK” in Chelyabinsk were fined 1,000 rubles for publishing extremist materials on VKontakte. This was reported by 74.ru with reference to Sosnovsky District Prosecutor Svetlana Pudova.
Local residents, whose names were not specified, were found guilty under Article 20.29 of the Administrative Code (production and distribution of extremist materials). We are talking about reposts made by activists on VKontakte.
In the first case, one of the women published on her page the poem “We walked gloriously in your republic,” similar to the text “Last wish to Ivan,” which is considered extremist. In the second case, the activist reposted the text “Dulles’ Plan for the Destruction of the USSR and Russia,” which was also recognized as extremist.
According to 74.ru, both women confirmed that they made such publications, clarifying that they did not know that they were recognized as extremist.
