Stanislav Zimovets, convicted in the March 26 case, was released from colony No. 12 of the Volgograd region in the city of Volzhsky. This was reported by the "Caucasian Knot" with reference to the duty department of the colony. The same information was confirmed to OVD-Info by Zimovets’ lawyer Svetlana Sidorkina.

As the Caucasian Corner was told at the duty station of IK-12, Zimovets left the territory of the colony today. According to Sidorkina, yesterday Zimovets called her on the phone and said that he had to leave today. And today I wrote to her and confirmed that I was free.

Zimovets was sentenced to two and a half years in prison under Article 318 of the Criminal Code. According to investigators, during the “He’s not Dimon for you” rally, he threw a fragment of a brick at an employee of the Russian Guard. In May 2018, the convict already went on a hunger strike in support of Sentsov.
