A rally against election violations began in St. Petersburg

In St. Petersburg, a concerted rally against violations in the elections began on the square in front of the Finland Station.

According to Meduza's correspondent, more than 3,000 people came to the rally. By the time the action began, there were queues in front of the frames where the police officers check the participants.

The rally began with a speech by the deputy of the legislative assembly Maxim Reznik.

In September 2019, St. Petersburg will hold gubernatorial elections, as well as municipal elections in most districts of the city. Many opposition candidates encountered difficulties when trying to register for elections: in particular, some municipalities concealed the fact that elections were scheduled, and in a number of election commissions, candidates were not physically allowed to submit documents.
