After the examination in Moscow, it became completely clear: it would not be possible to save the eye - the tumor occupied two thirds. The worst thing was that the tumor managed to give metastases to the vitreous body of the eye, so after surgery and chemistry of Sofa , a 25-day course of radiation therapy was also prescribed . In Moscow, Irina found out: a tumor of this size does not grow in a month, which means that it was most likely not noticed on time. If noticed, radiation therapy could be avoided.

Therapy

Sofa undergoes radiation therapy under intravenous anesthesia so that it does not move during irradiation; Irina thanks the doctors for special markings for therapy - irradiation falls aim on the eye nerve and does not hurt the skin around, but one movement - and healthy organs will be under the influence of irradiation. The therapy itself lasts only 10 minutes, it spends several hours under the anesthesia-in total, due to anesthesia, Sofa does not eat about 12 hours a day.
