The Moscow prosecutor's office has threatened administrative liability for participation in the rally on July 27

The Moscow prosecutor's office published on its website "a warning about liability for participation in unauthorized mass public events."

We are talking about a rally at the Moscow City Hall, which is scheduled to be held on July 27. The participants of the event want to support the admission of opposition candidates to the Moscow City Duma.

According to the prosecutor's office, the chosen location of the rally "does not allow ensuring the safety of its participants," and the event itself was not agreed with the authorities. Therefore, the department "clarified" that organizing a rally or participating in it can lead to administrative liability.

The prosecutor's office also listed those whom it considers the organizers of the rally: Anastasia Bryukhanov, Yulia Galyamina, Kirill Goncharov, Dmitry Gudkov, Ivan Zhdanov, Maxim Kruglov, Dmitry Klochkov, Sergey Mitrokhin, Elena Rusakova, Lyubov Sobol, Alexander Solovyov, Sergey Tsukasov, Roman Yuneman, Konstantin Jankauskas and Ilya Yashin. The human rights project "Apology of Protest" has already called the above list "a shortlist of candidates for preventive detentions."

This list does not include Alexei Navalny, who was arrested on July 24 for 30 days, having been found guilty of calling for an uncoordinated rally. There is also no coordinator of Navalny's Moscow headquarters, Oleg Stepanov, who was arrested for eight days for the same call.

The prosecutor's office noted that earlier the organizers of the July 27 rally had already held a rally in support of independent candidates, which took place on July 14. Then the activists, according to the department, "ignored the warnings", in connection with which "an administrative investigation is being carried out." Probably, the prosecutor's office is referring to the protocols that were drawn up against the politicians after the arrests on July 14.

Elena Rusakova, Lyubov Sobol and Konstantin Yankauskas have already been given warnings about the inadmissibility of violating the law in connection with the July 27 action.

On the morning of July 26, the document was also handed to Roman Yuneman, he told about this on his Twitter. The politician noted that instead of Podolsky Cadets Street, where he lives, law enforcement officers first arrived in the city of Podolsk near Moscow.

• Many independent candidates in the elections to the Moscow City Duma were denied registration: the signatures they had collected were declared invalid. As a sign of protest, since July 14, candidates have been regularly holding mass meetings with voters in the center of Moscow.

On July 14, the participants of such a meeting went to the mayor's office, and then to the Moscow City Electoral Committee, where they demanded the admission of candidates before the elections. As a result, according to OVD -Info, 39 people were detained at the rally, many of them told about beatings by the police. On July 20, an agreed-upon rally "For admission to the elections" was held in Moscow, which brought together more than 20,000 participants. During the rally, Alexei Navalny suggested that unregistered candidates hold a new rally on July 27 if they were not registered within a week. On July 24, it became known that the Investigative Committee opened a criminal case on obstruction of the activities of the election commission (Article 141 of the Criminal Code) due to a rally in support of independent candidates on July 14. Candidates are already being searched, some of them are being summoned for interrogation. So far, they are in the status of witnesses.
