Dozhd opened access to live broadcasts

July 26 from 17:00 "Rain" canceled the fee for live broadcasts on the Internet. Now they can be watched for free on website the Dozhd , YouTube channel and other social networks. The official statement "Rain" published on its website.

Quote. "This is required by the events that are happening before our eyes. We know that the only forces that can save people from injustice are publicity and openness <...> By removing the barrier of a paid channel, we lose the main source of funding - regular income from subscribers" .

• According to Dozhd, the cost of one day on air is 680 thousand rubles, so the channel called on subscribers and viewers to share information with friends and make regular donations .
• The Dozhd TV channel was one of the first mass media in Russia to switch to a paid model. Now the annual subscription costs 7800 rubles.
• At the end of 2017, Dozhd received 406 million rubles. revenue and showed no profit. 95% of TV channel Dozhd LLC is owned by its CEO Natalia Sindeeva.
