Dmitry Gudkov was detained leaving the store. This was reported by MBKh Media with reference to Gudkov’s press secretary Alexey Obukhov.

They were detained at the exit from the store; he and his assistant were buying groceries to take to the detainees. They detained me in a rude manner and took me to the Fili-Davydkovo police station. So far nothing more is known, there is no contact with him

OVD-Info lawyer Mikhail Biryukov reports that Dmitry Gudkov was brought to the Tverskoy OVD.

18:12 Gudkov wrote on Twitter that he is charged with holding a public event without filing a notification (Part 2 of Article 20.2 of the Administrative Code). It is not yet known for which specific promotion.

The administrative case that became the reason for Gudkov’s detention is related to the meeting of candidates on July 14 near the building of the Moscow City Election Commission.

• On July 27, a rally against the exclusion of candidates from the Moscow City Duma took place in the center of Moscow. More than 1,300 people were detained .
• On July 14, unregistered candidates for Moscow City Duma deputies held a meeting with voters in the center of Moscow. During the meeting, they promised to go out to daily protests on Trubnaya Square until all independent candidates are registered as candidates for Moscow City Duma deputies.
