The Kotlas city court dismissed the case of disrespect for the authorities (part 3 of article 20.1 of the Code of Administrative Offenses) against the saleswoman Svetlana Baksheeva. this . reports Pavel Chikov, head of the Agora International Human Rights Group,
According to him, lawyer Pavel Mizin, cooperating with Agora, drew the attention of the court to the fact that when the case was initiated, Baksheeva was not given the opportunity to get a lawyer, and also indicated that there was no corpus delicti in the actions of the saleswoman.
The fact that an administrative case had been initiated against Baksheeva became known in early July. The case against her was then opened after the statement of a local pensioner, Olga Ilyina. The reason was Baksheeva's comment about the deputies who approved the placement of a landfill in Pomorye as a "bunch of idiots."
In addition, on June 26, a court in Kotlas already fined Svetlana Baksheeva 30,000 rubles under the same article. At that time, the case was also opened after Ilyina's statement, but because of another comment about the governor of the Arkhangelsk region, who called the protesters on Shiyes "silly".
