The Shcherbinsky District Court arrested an unregistered candidate for the Moscow City Duma Ilya Yashin, reports Mediazona . He was found guilty of organizing an unsanctioned rally. According to the police, on July 23, the opposition leader called on everyone to a rally on July 27 on Twitter.

UPD: for organizing the action for seven days Candidate Konstantin Jankauskas was also arrested .

Earlier, the same court arrested Valery Rodin for 12 days for participating in a rally on July 27 - under part 6.1 of Article 20.2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses (participation in an action that interfered with the movement of pedestrians and vehicles). He became the first arrested participant of the rally.
The uncoordinated rally for fair elections on July 27 was the largest protest in Moscow in two years.

Yashin will have to file a complaint with the CEC as soon as the Moscow City Electoral Committee rejects his first complaint about illegal withdrawal from the elections. Yashin will be able to file documents on time, despite the arrest, through his proxies, his lawyer Vadim Prokhorov told The Bell.
