Moscow police warned about the illegal action on August 3

The Ministry of Internal Affairs in Moscow published an appeal in which it warned citizens that the next action in support of independent candidates for the Moscow City Duma is illegal on August 3.

“We offer Muscovites and guests of the capital to refrain from participating in it. We remind you of the liability provided for by law for organizing inconsistent public events, as well as for participating in them, ”the publication says.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs argues that the police "will quickly respond to offenses" and take all the necessary measures "to ensure the law and order and security of citizens."

The action on August 3 is planned as a rally in support of unregistered candidates for the Moscow City Duma. Elections to the Moscow City Duma will be held on a single voting day - September 8. Earlier, district election commissions refused to register 57 candidates for deputies of the Moscow City Duma. On the eve of the Moscow authorities refused to coordinate the action on Lubyanka, the application for which was submitted by the Libertarian Party of Russia. After negotiations with the Moscow Mayoria, Mikhail Svetov, a member of the party, was detained about the action.

On July 27, an inconsistent action was held in Moscow in support of unregistered candidates for deputies of the Moscow City Duma. It became record in the number of detainees-according to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, 1074 people were detained, in turn, the OVD-Info reported at least 1373 people.
